In 1978, grafcet made its entry into National Education. He is now the mainstay of the Automation and Industrial Computing program.

Other tools complementary to grafcet have been created, the Study Guide for Start and Stop Modes (GEMMA - 1981), the Technoguides and then the functional chains.

     Since 1988, Grafcet has been a standardized description tool (C.E.I. 848 Standard) which operates in sequential logic.
